Terms of Service

Last updated:

These terms apply to MP3 Trimmer at mp3trimmer.net, including our MP3 trimmer and MP3 cutter. The website is operated by an individual under the MP3 Trimmer brand. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.

1. What the service does

MP3 Trimmer is a free browser tool for selecting part of an audio recording, previewing it and downloading the result as MP3 or WAV. You do not need an account or a paid subscription to edit audio.

The editor reads and processes the file on your device. It does not upload your audio to our servers. Your original file is not changed. The editor currently accepts files up to 50 MB and recordings up to 20 minutes long, with mono or stereo audio. Supported input formats depend on your browser.

2. Your audio and permissions

You keep the rights you already hold in your audio. Using the editor does not transfer ownership of your recording to MP3 Trimmer or give us permission to publish it.

Only edit recordings you own or have permission or another lawful basis to use. You are responsible for any copyright, privacy, consent or other permissions needed to edit, download, share or publish a clip. Cutting a recording does not remove the rights of its creator or the people recorded.

3. Acceptable use

Use the website lawfully and without interfering with other visitors. You must not:

  • Use the service to infringe copyright, violate privacy or carry out unlawful activities.
  • Introduce malware, attempt unauthorized access or bypass security controls.
  • Disrupt the website or make automated requests that overload its infrastructure.
  • Misrepresent your relationship with MP3 Trimmer or reuse our branding in a way that suggests our endorsement.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, protect the website or comply with legal obligations.

4. Downloads and editing limits

Keep a copy of your original recording and check the exported clip before relying on it. MP3 export re-encodes the selected audio, which can affect sound quality. Output timing and compatibility can vary with the source file, browser and device.

Edits are held in the current page rather than saved as an online project. Download your finished clip before closing or reloading the page. We cannot recover an unsaved edit or retrieve your source file because the editor does not receive it.

5. Website content and third-party software

Our website design, branding and written content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms allow you to use the tool; they do not grant ownership of the website or its content.

The tool uses third-party software, including an MP3 encoder. That software remains subject to its own license. The MP3 encoder license notice is available on this website. External websites linked from our pages have their own terms and policies.

6. Availability and responsibility

We provide the service as available and do not guarantee uninterrupted access, support for every audio format or error-free output. Features and limits may change, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance or discontinued.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude implied warranties and are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or loss of unsaved work arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

7. Privacy

Local audio processing is separate from the information involved in visiting the website or contacting us. Read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details about those activities.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the website changes. We will post the revised terms here and update the date above. Changes apply prospectively and do not remove rights you have under applicable law.

For questions about these terms or to report a problem, email [email protected]. For a rights complaint, include the relevant page URL and enough detail for us to understand the issue. Please do not send sensitive recordings unless we have agreed that they are needed.
